Woman reports missing Viagra prescription

MECOSTA COUNTY – The Mecosta County Sheriff’s Office responded to the following calls.

Wednesday 25 August

• A theft has been reported in the 14000 block of 220th Avenue. Fourteen catalytic converters were reported stolen.

• Warrants were obtained for a suspect wanted for witness intimidation / extortion.

• A criminal sexual conduct complaint was reported in the 11000 block of 205th Avenue in Mecosta Township. Sheriff’s deputies assisted CPS with CSC allegations between a father and his 6-year-old daughter.


• A vehicle was reported abandoned at Moe-Z-Inn in the village of Morley. The vehicle was parked in the hotel parking lot for two weeks. The owner never came back for him. The vehicle was tagged.

• A mother called to report that her closet was $ 2,500 missing. She also reported that a prescription for Viagra was missing. The suspect is said to be the woman’s son.

• A roadside check was conducted at Walmart in Big Rapids Township. The complainant said a man was recklessly crossing the parking lot and nearly collided with his vehicle.

• A man reported that he was involved in a road rage incident in which young college students were tearing up his road.

• A school bus struck a car parked in the 21000 block of 15 Mile Road.

• A civil litigation was reported in the 11000 block of 17 Mile Road in the Township of Martiny.

• Civil litigation has been reported in the 8000 block of 80th Avenue in Morton Township.

Thursday August 26

• A suspicious complaint was filed by Premiere Auto regarding a rental car that returned and appeared to have hit something.

• A complainant returned a bumper from a Mitsubishi Eclipse with the license plate still attached. The bumper and plate were located on Millpond Road and 142nd Avenue.

• A domestic assault was reported in the 100 block of Front Street in the Stanwood / Mecosta Township area.

• A theft has been reported in Green Township. The complainant reported that another work van had been stolen.

• A man was arrested in the 21000 block of Northland Drive for assaulting his girlfriend.

• A woman wanted a man to break into her residence on South Cass Street in the village of Morley.

• An abandoned vehicle was reported in the 100 block of East Ninth Street in Aetna Township. A Tahoe with Arkansas license plates was parked in the Dollar General parking lot for two weeks.

• A traffic stop near Woodward Avenue and Brookside Court resulted in a subpoena against a driver for driving while his license was suspended. The vehicle was not tackled but was insured.

• A suspicious complaint was reported in the 17000 block of 15 Mile Road in Colfax Township. A woman called that a man showed up uninvited. He was trying to retrieve a cell phone he had left there before he was arrested earlier. The man was also in possession of a black mountain bike which he said he stole before his arrest at 830 Water Tower Apartments in Big Rapids. The bike was turned over to the Big Rapids Police Department.

• An appellant’s windshield was damaged when a rock was thrown from a Mecosta County Road Commission truck.

• A theft complaint was reported in the 300 block of North East Street in the village of Morley. A man reported that his hay cart was stolen after parking it on a friend’s property.

• An accident involving two vehicles was reported in the 6000 block of Northland Drive in the Township of Mecosta.

• A welfare check has been carried out in block 15000 of Waldron Way. The control focused on two women after an altercation with the mother. A report was sent to the prosecutor’s office on the mother for domestic assault.

• A woman was arrested on Sheridan Drive near West Avenue for operating under the influence of the second offense, domestic assault and two outstanding warrants.
