China sets green hydrogen production and use targets for 2025

The country aims to produce between 100,000 and 200,000 tonnes of renewable H2 that year.

China’s National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) recently announced that the country is aiming for a new green hydrogen production target for 2025. This target would see the country produce up to 200,000 tons of the energy source. zero carbon emissions that year.

The current production rate of H2 in China has reached 33 million tons, although about 80% of it is made from natural gas and coal.
