The head of the evangelical spiritual church INRI, Primate Elijah Ayodele, advised President Muhammadu Buhari to support the local telecommunications giant, Globacom, to develop the country’s economy.
He said this in an interview with reporters while answering questions about how the federal government can revive the economy.
The man of God explained that a sure way to revive and support the economy was to support indigenous businesses.
Primate Ayodele made special reference to Glo, advising that the telecommunications company has been doing well for many years and that several young people have been employed in the company, thus helping the Nigerian economy in several ways.
He claimed that Glo is Nigeria’s main indigenous business and all the government has to do is support the business for the good of the Nigerian economy.
He said: “The Nigerian economy can be revived if the federal government gives more support to indigenous businesses.
“In Nigeria, Glo is a leading indigenous company in the telecommunications sector, the company has helped employ several young people across the country.
“The government should support a giant company like Globacom to grow, support youth empowerment and employment.
“We still have unemployed young people.
“If the government supports indigenous businesses like Glo, the unemployment rate will drop, which in turn will boost Nigeria’s economy. “
