(MENAFN) Based on official figures released by the Turkish Energy Transmission Company (TEIAS) on Sunday, regular electricity consumption in Turkey fell by 3.9% on Saturday compared to the previous day, standing at 884,969 megawatts per hour.
According to statistics from TEIAS, hourly electricity consumption reached 41,838 megawatts per hour as of 12:00 p.m. regional time (09:00 GMT). As of 07:00 regional time, the country’s electricity consumption bottomed out at 29,839 megawatts per hour (04:00 GMT).
On Saturday, power generation totaled 877,014 megawatts per hour, down 3.8% from the previous day.
Hydroelectric power plants provided 19.3% of total electricity, while natural gas and wind power accounted for 17.5% and 16.8%, respectively.
